These rules form part of the Terms and Conditions of your booking and occupancy of Waddy Lodge.
1. Noise and Residential Amenity
a) Guests must not create noise which is disturbing or offensive to neighbours especially between 10pm- 8am. This applies particularly to excess noise from balconies late at night, or excess noise from early morning fishermen.
b) Guests must refrain from engaging in any drunken, obscene or antisocial behavior at any time while on the Premises.
2. Water
Waddy Lodge uses groundwater which is considered to be safe for washing, showering, and general use. The water is not treated and hence should be boiled before drinking.
Please avoid wasting water - particularly in excessive washing down of cars and boats etc.
3. Electricity
Waddy Lodge uses solar power for its power supply. The battery system is sized to supply the facilities and appliances provided at Waddy Lodge.
Guests must not use appliance not provided as part of the property, particularly heavy load appliances such as hair dryers, heaters, electric frypans, irons, kettles, televisions, etc.
Guests are required to turn off all lights and fans when not required.
4. Gas
Waddy Lodge uses propane gas (LPG) for cooking and hot water. Propane gas is heavier than air and poses a safety risk if stoves or BBQ’s are left unattended in breezy conditions. Guests are requested to be vigilant in the management of the stoves and BBQ’s to ensure the safe operation of these facilities.
5. Garbage
a) Guests must empty internal bins daily, and deposit garbage in the external bins provided using the bags provided. External bins must be kept securely locked. Guests must not leave garbage anywhere on the Premises other than the bins provided.
b) Any foodstuffs, fish offal or other garbage left outside overnight (whether uncovered or in plastic bags) will attract dingos, goannas, birds, and other creatures – which will inevitably spread the garbage over the grounds and which you will be required to clean up.
6. Fish Cleaning
Fish cleaning stations are provided for the convenience of guests, and for the hygiene of the Premises. Fish must be cleaned ONLY at fish cleaning stations. Fish cleaning stations must be cleaned thoroughly before and after use for your own well-being and that of other guests.
All fish offal and old bait must be temporarily stored in the sealed buckets provided and then disposed of as set out below. Animals will tear open offal buckets left outdoors overnight, so if you must store offal or burley overnight, it is best to keep it indoors in the freezer.
7. Offal Disposal
National Parks regulations require that offal and unused bait must be buried in a deep hole (at least 50 cm) just below high tide mark. This is essential to deter dingoes, (and it ensures that the worms have a good feed.)
Guests are not permitted to dispose of offal in bins
8. Septic System
The toilet system at Waddy Lodge is a septic system. ONLY human waste and suitable toilet paper is to be deposited in the toilets. Sanitary products, disposable nappies, etc must be disposed of in the facilities provided – NOT the toilet.
Depositing bleach, cleaning chemicals, and porta-loo chemicals in the septic system will damage the system. DO NOT put chemicals of any sort down the toilets.
9. Cleaning during Occupancy
It is the responsibility of Guests to ensure that the Property is maintained in a clean and hygienic state for the duration of the occupancy.
10. Cleaning on Departure
While the on-site managers will carry out detailed cleaning and fully prepare the property for the next guests, you are required to leave the premises in a generally clean, habitable condition.
This means at least:

- Wiping down all kitchen and bathroom surfaces, and running a broom through the property to remove excess sand and other buildup.
